THE DP Postex
THE DP PostexULTRASOUND DISTANCE MEASURER ACCESSORY
Use the DP Postex add-on with your DP II or Digitech Professional computer caliper to position trees and other objects in the forest. The DP Postex is great for operators that prefer to have the ultrasound in the DP caliper and to measure heights with a separate instrument, such as the Laser Geo.
The Postex solution from Haglöf Sweden is available in different system configurations. In the DP Postex system, the DP caliper and corresponding software application provides power, processor, memory and display for the Postex module.
The method for individual positioning of trees is perfect when connecting information on ground measured trees to a laser scanned air measuring operation, or to trace individual tree history on sample plots for research and follow-up work. The Postex solution is based on the triangulation method, and the positioning is made from three distances that have been determined by the set-up coordinate system in the Postex rack with transponders. The positioning accuracy allows for reliable results in long-term scientific research projects on tree individuals on permanent plots.
FROM THE CENTER OF THE TREE TO THE MAP
The DP Postex add-on operates with the coordinate system determined by the custom Postex rack and 3 ea T3 transponders. Use the DP II caliper software application Postax (or other application compatible with the DP Postex) for DP to collect, register and process your data. A Haglöf Sweden L5 laser instrument is recommended to measure the tree heights in the plot. The DP Postex module can also be operated with the DP II Terminal only and without the caliper measuring scale. This is useful when diameter data is not needed, such as to position historical sites and remains, for new plantations etc.
RUGGED, FIELD-READY AND DEVELOPED IN COOPERATION WITH LEADING SCIENTISTS
The DP Postex works with the DP II and Digitech Professional model (Bios v 1.66 and forward).
All functions are run through the software application in your caliper.
The custom Postex rack and transponders and a bubble for alignment are delivered in aluminum transport box. Postex® is available in different system configurations, all using the custom rack and ultrasound transponders. With ultrasound you are not limited to line of sight measurements and not bound to targets.

THE WOODOSCOPE
THE WOODOSCOPEThe Woodoscope is a piezoelectric probe that senses vibrations. It does not penetrate the wooden surface (i.e., is not invasive) and, therefore, it is ideal for assessing the state and value of timber as it only touches a surface. It is a plug and play cable that connects to the USB input of a laptop or to the micro-USB input of a mobile phone. It is like a stethoscope but for wooden structures that cannot be drilled (i.e. timber, wooden floors, wooden frames in museums, furniture, porches).
Once connected to a laptop or a mobile phone you need an application that records through the USB port and analyzes audio (this is not provided).
It is meant to record vibrations originating from wood-boring insects, but, it can also be used to record vibrations on any surface in the range of 0-8kHz (e.g. vibes originating from moving parts of a machine).

One rule of every successful hunter is to not disturb your hunting spot unless you absolutely have to. Making your trail camera’s batteries last longer is one of the best ways to assure less trips into your spot. The Bushnell Trail Camera Solar Panel extends your trail camera battery life by months! Use the included adjustable screw-in bracket to mount it near your camera. Attach the positive locking cables and you’re done!
The Bushnell Solar Panel accessory (#119986) is designed to function as a supplemental source of power for all current models of Trophy Cam HD Aggressor, Trophy Cam HD Aggressor Wireless, Impulse, Core, CelluCore, and Prime series cameras. With the Solar Panel mounted near your camera and connected to its external power input jack, you will find that your camera’s batteries last much longer before they need to be replaced. The solar panel has an internal lithium ion power core, which is continuously charged by the solar cells when they are exposed to the sun. Once connected, the camera will draw its power from the solar panel’s charged lithium battery for as long as possible, switching to its internal batteries only when the Solar Panel’s battery’s charge level is too low. As a result, the camera’s batteries will have significantly longer life.
Charging the Solar Panel Via USB
The Solar Panel also includes a USB port allowing the internal power core to be “pre-charged” before field use, from a computer’s USB connection or similar available source of USB power. Doing this is NOT required prior to use but will allow it to begin providing supplemental power to your camera immediately, instead of waiting for the solar cells to build up adequate charge.
To use this feature, connect a compatible USB Mini cable (not included) from the Solar Panel to your computer or an adequate power source. The charging indicator LED on the back of the Solar Panel will glow red while charging is in progress, then turn green when charging is complete.
Mounting and Camera Connection
A mounting bracket is provided with the Solar Panel. The bracket should first be screwed into the tree at a point above the camera where the solar panel has a unobstructed exposure to the sun for the longest part of the day. With the swivel head firmly attached to the tree bracket, connect the threaded bolt at the end of the swivel head to the mounting socket (brass 1/4″ x 20) on the back of the Solar Panel. Loosen the swivel head knob, then the Solar Panel so that the solar cells are aimed at the sun. Once aligned tighten both locking collars. Finally, attach the supplied cable to both the solar panel and the camera and tie up the slack.
- Extends Trail Camera battery life for months
- Chargeable via USB cable (not included)
- Adjustable screw-in bracket included
- Positive locking cable attachment points for camera and solar panel
- Charge level indicator on rear of panel
- Compatible with Core, Prime, Impulse, CelluCore, and Aggressor Trail Cameras.
