The Wildtronics Pro Mini Parabolic will transform an omnidirectional microphone into a shotgun-like microphone, but with better isolation and reach.
- Boost your microphone for dramatically improved reach and isolation. Parabolic reflectors provide gain, so you can reach subjects that are outside the range of other microphones, including shotgun microphones.
- Fits most omnidirectional microphones less than 26mm in diameter. We recommend using omnidirectional microphones for best results. You can use cardioid microphones, if you use the included seal to cover the vents on the side of the microphone. The kit comes with adapters for 19-26mm pencil style microphones and most lavalier microphones.
- Critically optimized small parabolic reflector specifically designed for great sound. Normally, small parabolic systems have very poor low frequency response and an overly peaked high frequency response, causing poor performance with human voice. Wildtronics designed the curvature, size, and focal point of the parabola, plus pointed the microphone outward to minimize low frequency loss, resulting in great sound. This means that even your voice recordings will sound surprisingly well.
- Your choice of two, 11.5-inch, truly parabolic reflectors. Choose between the very flexible, 0.030-inch thick, durable, clear 100% polycarbonate reflector, or the lower cost, black ABS, paintable, Mini Black Ops reflector.
- Ultra lightweight. Total weight, without microphone, is just under 7 ounces. Perfect for effortless hand held use or mounting on a camera hot-shoe, with an available adapter.
- Ideal for use as a stereo pair parabolic microphone. Due to the small size, light weight, and wider polar angle, it is now practical to make true parabolic stereo recordings. You can point the two parabolic reflectors independently or maintain a fixed angle. Our Mini Stereo Bar is specifically designed to hold two Pro Minis in a superbly balanced combination with a total weight of just over a pound.
- Handle and hub are machined from high strength, industrial nylon for lifetime durability.
- Handle base has metal 1/4-20 threads for easy tripod/hotshoe mounting.
- Accessory bar mount provision. The accessory mount will allow you to mount our Mini-Accessory Bar directly to the handle. The Mini-Accessory Bar can hold a small, hand-held recorder for quick easy use with just one short cable to your microphone.
- Wildtronics Performance Series Microphones fit perfectly. The Micro Mic PIP, Micro Mic XLR, Amplified Omni, and Mini Stereo PIP microphones are low noise and are excellent microphones.
- Low cost alternative to full sized parabolic reflectors. The Pro Mini is great for less demanding applications where light weight, size, and cost are more important.

The amazing all-in-one microphone! Both a professional parabolic microphone and a stereo pair microphone in one.
The innovative Wildtronics Mono-Stereo Parabolic Dish Microphone has 3 outputs, left, right, and parabolic center microphone. The most capable and versatile all-in-one recording system for sale anywhere!
- A lightweight, 22-inch, clear polycarbonate, highly accurate parabolic dish. The dish is flexible, yet rigid enough to maintain critical shape, and thick enough for good rear sound isolation. Polycarbonate is a virtually unbreakable plastic that can withstand temperature extremes. Available in the Standard 0.060 inch thick or the Feather Light 0.030 inch thick rollable version.
- Very low noise mono parabolic mic array. The microphone array, by itself, has a noise floor of just 10dBA, which rivals standard microphones that cost >$1000. Low mic noise allows you to hear faint sounds that would normally be lost in the noise of lesser microphones.
- Two additional, forward facing, low noise (12dBA), matched stereo microphones on separate channels allow wide angle (180 degree) ambient recording. No other “stereo” parabolic microphone offers this capability. The stereo pair is shielded from the parabolic dish focal point, therefore are unaffected by the parabolic reflector. This gives a nice, spacious stereo image.
- Patent pending integral Booster Discs increase the gain to that of a 30-inch dish. This technology also improves low frequency response by eliminating the well known “bass dip” phenomenon, achieving superior sound quality. All competing parabolic microphones have a distinctive bass response dip (500-1000Hz), with accompanying peaks and dips at higher frequencies, causing a tinny sound.
- Both balanced XLR and 3.5mm outputs are on the back panel, and you can even use the outputs simultaneously to connect multiple equipment.
- Built-in, metal 1/4-20 threads in the base of the handle allows solid, reliable, and easy mounting of the Parabolic Microphone to a tripod.
- Power the microphone using your equipment’s phantom power or the internal, replaceable 9V battery.
- A foam suspension system reduces handling noise and dampens the dish. The suspension system is a carefully thought out design that isolates major components, and not only a cushioned hand grip. Nothing makes any creaking sounds when the unit is moved during use.
- Weighing just 2 lbs 4 oz (1 lb 12 oz w/ Feather Light Dish), the lightweight unit assembles and disassembles into three smaller pieces in under a minute for ease of transport and travel. The dish is flexible so that it may be “rolled” to fit into luggage and carrying cases.
- 80 PPI (pores per inch) pro grade windscreen included.
- Designed and tested to withstand severe temperature and humidity extremes.
- Shielded throughout to reduce the effects of EMI/RFI, even from cell phones.
- Optional Accessory Bars and the Secondary Windscreen can be used to extend the usability of this model.
