The Anabat Walkabout is a professional active bat detector
with everything you need in one device.
A 5″ colour touchscreen displays full spectrum and zero crossing calls in real time, enabling you to monitor and label your files in the field.
The Walkabout uses a profile system to give you fast access to customizable settings for different uses. You can lock your settings and export your profiles to other Walkabout detectors. With the touch of a button you can change the Walkabout from a heterodyne ‘listening’ detector, into a detector optimized to collect full spectrum, annotated reference calls.
In addition to the real-time sonogram display, you can switch to basic mode which shows minimal information for those that find a live display distracting.
Managing your recordings is simple with everything saved to a memory card, and a built-in file system for viewing, play-back, and species labelling.
The detector includes an omnidirectional microphone with a directional cone attachment to reduce ambient noise. Recording high quality (500 ksps) files up to 200 kHz. Save written or voice memos, along with temperature, humidity and ambient light measurements.
The hand strap, lanyard and ergonomic design makes active detection for long periods comfortable. A built-in GPS and mapping system allows you to tag your calls and log your track as you go.
This custom-designed detector goes beyond the toy microphones of the competition and provides active performance second to none.
Features
Includes
Wall Charger, USB Cable, earphones, hand strap, lanyard, directional cone attachment and microfiber cleaning cloth.
D240x Ultrasound Detector
Very popular heterodyne and time expansion detector with backlit, large digit, accurate digital display, showing the tuned frequency in the heterodyne mode. The frequency and volume controls are on the side of the case, making it easy to adjust. Using stereo headphones, the heterodyne signal is heard on the left channel and the time expansion signal on the right channel. When the built-in speaker is used, a switch is used to select the heterodyne or time expansion signal.
A digital recorder can be connected to the D240X to record the time expanded calls for analysis on a PC. If the recorder has a “voice activated” recording mode, a fully automatic bat recording system is obtained, which can be left in the field for unattended recording of bat calls.

AudioMoth
It is a low-cost, open-source acoustic monitoring device used for monitoring wildlife. AudioMoth is not only sensitive to audible sounds but well into ultrasonic frequencies. It records uncompressed audio onto a micro SD card from 8,000 to 384,000 samples per second.
This units can be programmed to monitor wildlife populations by recording the calls of specific target species. Furthermore, it can serve as an alert system detecting sounds of human exploitation, such as the blast of a shotgun or the roar of a chainsaw.
A popular research tool for environmental and biodiversity researchers worldwide. Most importantly you can now find unattended AudioMoths in some very unexpected places such as rain forests, jungles, and bat caves worldwide.
KEY FEATURES:
• EFM32 Gecko processor
• Capable of recording at sampling rates of up to 384kHz
• Records uncompressed WAV files to microSD card
• Powered by 3 x AA batteries
• With Analog MEMS microphone
• Analog pre-amplifier with adjustable gain
• Measures just 58 x 48 x 15 mm
• Configurable USB interface

Anabat Scout Active Bat Detector
The Anabat Scout is an affordable, full spectrum bat detector designed specifically for active bat monitoring.
Titley Scientific have developed a bat detector tailored to your active survey needs. The Anabat Scout is an easy-to-use unit that can play heterodyne, auto-heterodyne and frequency division audio through earphones or the built-in speaker. But it’s not limited to live listening, you can record full spectrum and zero crossing files to an SD card, with every file geo-tagged. You can even record voice notes to the SD Card.
The Scout’s features don’t end with acoustics, it also has an in/out bat counter which time stamps and geotags every count. It is robust and ergonomically designed, and comes with a protective carry pouch with belt loop and lanyard. For those on the go, use the Scout in transect mode with the built-in GPS so you can save your track. When you get back to the office, you can analyse and view your files on a map with your track using the free Anabat Insight software.
Titley Scientific knows you like to work in the dark, the small black OLED display isn’t distracting, only giving you the crucial information, and can be operated in bright or dim modes. The glow-in-the-dark buttons means that you can find and operate your detector even on the darkest night without your headtorch!
