Conserve Forest & Wildlife
In principle, the eight AA batteries in the BatCounter are only used to test the device or to count over very short periods of time (e.g. a few nights). If you wish to use the BatCounter over longer periods, it is recommended that you connect to a 12-volt battery or the 1110/ 220-volt electricity network. The kit contains the following parts: – 110/ 220V BatCounter External Power Adapter – BatCounter External Power Cable.
D500X Ultrasound Detector/Recorder Mk II
The D500X Mk II is as easy to use and provides the same features as the classic D500X, with the following exceptions:
The D500X is an ultrasound recording unit intended for long-term, unattended recording of bat calls. In contrast to time expansion bat detectors, the D500X records full-spectrum ultrasound in real time with virtually no gaps between recordings. The recorder is equipped with four slots for CF cards, which typically makes it possible to leave the unit in the field for more than a month. The triggering system allows the device to automatically start recording as a sound is detected.

D1000X Ultrasound Detector
The D1000X is a professional ultrasound detector, based on the latest technology. The detector has heterodyne, frequency division and time expansion systems and also a built-in 16-bit recording system using a Compact Flash card as storage medium. It is equipped with our well-known, high-quality capacitance microphone which has been further improved to give lower noise, wider dynamic range and lower distortion.
The D1000X has a built-in “recorder”, relieving the user from the hassle of operating a separate recording device or laptop with connecting cables. It can be configured to work in a variety of operating modes, but thanks to the use of “Profiles”, switching between different modes is made instantly. Each profile contains all the selectable settings such as sampling rate, triggering mode, time expansion factor and LED intensity and can be prepared in advance and saved in the detector.
At any time, either the direct ultrasonic signal, the heterodyne signal or the frequency division signal can be recorded onto the CF-card. Spoken comments can be recorded by speaking into the microphone while recording in the direct mode, or in a special comment recording mode (at a lower sampling rate). The recording time is limited only by the available space on the CF-card. Upon completion of a recording in the direct mode, the signal will be automatically replayed in time expanded form, if this function is enabled. Time expansion factors from 1 (original speed) to 30 can be chosen. The recordings can be made by manually starting and stopping the recording or through level-activated (and optional frequency selective) triggering. In the latter case, the detector can be set up for unattended capture of calls. Pre- and post-triggering modes with a variety of different settings can be used.
The wav sound files on the CF-card are stamped with date and time and can be read directly on a PC, using a standard CF-card reader. The D1000X also has a serial GPS input, making it possible to save GPS position data in the files.

Anabat Scout Active Bat Detector
The Anabat Scout is an affordable, full spectrum bat detector designed specifically for active bat monitoring.
Titley Scientific have developed a bat detector tailored to your active survey needs. The Anabat Scout is an easy-to-use unit that can play heterodyne, auto-heterodyne and frequency division audio through earphones or the built-in speaker. But it’s not limited to live listening, you can record full spectrum and zero crossing files to an SD card, with every file geo-tagged. You can even record voice notes to the SD Card.
The Scout’s features don’t end with acoustics, it also has an in/out bat counter which time stamps and geotags every count. It is robust and ergonomically designed, and comes with a protective carry pouch with belt loop and lanyard. For those on the go, use the Scout in transect mode with the built-in GPS so you can save your track. When you get back to the office, you can analyse and view your files on a map with your track using the free Anabat Insight software.
Titley Scientific knows you like to work in the dark, the small black OLED display isn’t distracting, only giving you the crucial information, and can be operated in bright or dim modes. The glow-in-the-dark buttons means that you can find and operate your detector even on the darkest night without your headtorch!

The adapter makes it possible to connect the BatLure to the electricity network (110/ 220 volts). The constant power supply enables the BatLure to transmit for extended periods. In situations in which the BatLure is used to support the mitigation to new accommodation, this is a valuable addition. Consider, for example, mitigating measures where bats need to migrate from a building that’s about to be demolished. Even when the BatLure is being used to give indoor bat detector training, it’s useful when it can be connected to the electricity network. The kit contains the following parts: – 110/ 220V BatLure External Power Adapter – BatLure External Power Cable
