Whoosh Net Trap Kit
Whoosh Net Trap Kit
Modern Falconry
Product Code: WHOOSHNET-KIT
We are proud to introduce our new and improved whoosh net. It’s the modern version of the traditional whoosh net. We designed it with self-locking latches that will automatically latch the net in the set position – no need to “pin” it in place with cotter pins as traditionally done. This will be a much more efficient, faster, and safer way to set the trap. Our trap still only use bungee cords for the closing the net, but not for triggering the trap like other traditional traps.
This whoosh net trap is also perfectly suited for trapping raptors. Especially for large raptors from red-tailed to golden eagles.

Description
Here are the differences between our whoosh net and the old-style whoosh net:
| Function/Component | Old Whoosh Net Trap (Traditional) | Modern Falconry’s New Whoosh Net Trap |
| Setting | Uses pins to set the trap. | ✓ Our trap is very easy to set – it has self-locking latches to lock the net in place. No manual pinning is needed. |
| Tripping of trap | Trap is tripped manual pull cord | ✓ Our trap can be tripped manually with a pull cord or remotely with a very compact 300 ft., 600 ft., or 1 mile remote trigger. |
| Trigger mechanism | Trigger mechanism is a simple bungee cord tied to the trigger lines and set in place with a pin. | ✓ Our whoosh net’s trigger is set with a self-locking latch and the trigger mechanism is a small and powerful piston that doesn’t rely on bungee cord to release the net. |
| Net poles | Net poles are long single pieces – hard to carry. | ✓ Our net poles are collapsible and easier to transport |
