A large durable windshield which offers extra wind protection for all Telinga dishes and microphones. Effectively designed to prevent wind turbulence inside the dish.
High Wind Cover (HWC) for all versions of Telinga 22″ dish models.
Turbulence inside a parabolic dish, caused by side winds, can only effectively be reduced by covering the entire opening of a dish. The windshield will also serve as extra protection against rain and prevent insects from buzzing around inside the dish while recording. When storing your complete setup inside the Telinga Soft Case you may also use it as a good “wrap around” cloth, protecting your microphone further.

Pair the Telinga PRO-9 MK2 handle with your current +48V Telinga Parabolic Microphone or any of our interchangeable parabolic microphones: Stereo MK3 or the Twin Science MK2 + your choice of Telinga dish for a complete ready to record system (photo nr 4 from left). The PRO-9 MK2 handle can also be purchased as a spare product for your older dish or Telinga microphone.
When recording using a parabolic microphone – you often encounter noise pollution from traffic both in air and on ground. Switching the built in EQ filter ON may help you save or enhance your recording by filtering away low frequencies such as traffic noise or rumble.
The Telinga offers great sound quality in a very reliable package. Once a new microphone model is available you may simply add or replace the new microphone for your current Telinga handle/dish setup, without having to purchase another dish or handle. This way – you can bring one parabolic dish, but still use several different Telinga products.
Easy travelling: use the Telinga V2 Foldable Dish (sold separately) for a very light weight system.

The most effective way to reduce wind noise in your Telinga dish.
The Rycote Telinga Pro Hi Wind Cover has been designed and manufactured by Rycote in the UK for the Telinga 22″ Parabolic Dish. It is manufactured using a durable Green or Black fleece material which offers up to 35 dB in wind noise reduction.
The Rycote HWC is also very easy to fit in the field by simply sliding it on and securing in place with a drawstring. Photo nr 1&2 (from left) shows colour options (Green or Black). Photo nr 3 shows the Telinga dish (sold separately) with the Green Rycote HWC mounted.

With the dish folded you can store the rest of your setup inside it – with some padding in between it will remain effectively protected by the folded dish. As no Telinga system is heavier then 1.2 Kg (2.5 Lbs) complete it is very easily carried, no matter how you choose to travel (by foot, bicycle etc.)

The Telinga Stereo MK3 omnidirectional microphone – the latest version of the famous industry standard Telinga Stereo DAT microphone.
Telinga Sweden introduced the first commercially available parabolic microphone in stereo 1986 already, with the concept of recording the focus of the parabolic dish in mono and presenting the ambience in stereo.
The Telinga Stereo MK3 microphone has 8 microphone elements, located in 2 pairs (L/R) separated by a 4,5″ plate. The mono signal from the parabolic dish will affect all the microphones equally while the ambience will be recorded in stereo. This proven and unique Telinga concept gives you a natural recording with very low noise that also withstands very high SPL (Sound Pressure Level). The result is a rich sound with very little distortion for an omni microphone.
Pair the Stereo MK3 microphone with your choice of handle and dish (sold separately) either the PRO-X for Plug-In-Power 3,5 mm minjack or PRO-9 handle +48V XLR for a ready to record system. All our microphones are exclusively designed for the Telinga (V2) foldable dish. You can also use your current Telinga handle, please state model or pin configuration when ordering.
You may easily fold the Telinga V2 Dish and pack your complete Telinga system (handle, microphone, and dish) in the Telinga Soft Case (optional) with some padding in between. The complete assembly of a Telinga system is done within minutes without any complicated instructions.

The Telinga Modular is a brand new concept offering your own microphones or sensors to be used in the 22″ Telinga foldable professional dish also in PZM stereo configurations*. Thanks to Rycote U.K the wind protection is highly improved over our original Telinga Universal.
The included Rycote Telinga OEM basket comes with 2 pcs Telinga foam cartridges:
- MONO FOAM CARTRIDGEfor your mono pencile style mics (both omni and cardioids*)
- STEREO FOAM CARTRIDGEfor PZM stereo arrangements (with your smaller omni mics, electret capsules or sensors**)
The stereo foam is based on the same Telinga tradition of having a plate separating the two sides (2 channels) inside the dish for a stereo background while the focus of the dish will affect them equally. This concept is now accomplished inside the Rycote Telinga basket – allowing immediate changes of your configuration as soon as new capsules or sensors are available on the market!
Please note: the Telinga Modular does not include microphones, sensors or cabling. It is a fully passive design for your own configurations, not for Telinga mics/models or a specific microphone. *The mono foam can be used with most pencile style mics omnis having a diameter not exceeding 22mm & for all models facing the dish not longer then 80 mm. Longer models of mics may also be possible to use facing the dish without the Rycote Telinga basket front cap attached. **The stereo foam allows smaller omni mics, electret capsule arrangements or sensors with diameter/length not greater then 25mm, excl. cabling.

The Telinga MK2 twin-capsule mono microphone for all Telinga PRO (balanced) handles.
The Twin Science MK2 – our 2 capsule mono microphone: one omni microphone pointing outwards of the dish, and one cardioid capsule facing the dish inwards. Since both microphone capsules are within the focal area of the parabolic dish and recorded to a separate left and right channel of a stereo track, the recordings are easily separated – for post production. For the MK2 version, the microphones has been matched further for greater performance and the windshield upgraded for a higher quality 45 PPF Cell Foam material. The Twin Science MK2 is highly resistant against humidity and water.
Pair the Twin Science MK2 with the PRO-8 MK2 handle and a Telinga dish of choice and you have a ready to record parabolic microphone setup for many different applications.
Two factory set focus positions makes it easy to adjust each capsule for maximum performance:
- Omni track:by positioning the Twin Science MK2 all the way in – towards the dish, until stop
- Cardioid track: by positioning the Twin Science with the mic connector placed side to side with the included mounting kit.
Result:
- Omni microphone track (Ch.1): very low noise aprx. 12 dB-A with great tolerance to handling and wind noise. A soft frequency response in the higer spectrum with a transparent and wide pickup for a “warm” sound.
- Cardioid microphone track (Ch.2): greater frequency response with maximum attenuation of surrounding sounds, resulting in a very “focused” sound. Since the cardioid microphone faces towards the dish, it optimizes the reflected sound of the distant subject and suppresses the background, thereby improving the directivity by concentrating on the sound reflected by the dish.
- Please note: the cardioid capsule is sensitive to handling and wind noise– therefore the large windshield for the dish is recommended.

The V2 version of the famous foldable and flexible dish for all mobile users. Very easy to transport, compatible with ALL Telinga handles and microphones.
The Telinga V2 foldable dish is 22″ (57cm) & 6″ (15 cm) deep with a weight of only 0.35 kg/0.77 lbs! The improved polycarbonate mix offers greater performance and plastic memory. Featuring a gray rim (standard on delivery) allows super easy folding and protects the dish surface from scratches and dents.
Compatible with ALL Telinga handles and microphones – including earlier models such as the PRO-5/6/7/8 handles and dedicated microphones.
PLEASE NOTE: Currently the Telinga dish is sold ONLY as part of a complete system or as a spare for your current Telinga.
