The KLOVER MiK 16 professional parabolic microphone was initially created for baseball stadiums, where the KLOVER MiK 26 could obstruct the fan’s view. Weighing just three pounds, the KLOVER MiK 16 parabolic microphone excels in mobility, making it one of the best parabolic microphones for professionals in a variety of industries. Its smaller size also makes it ideal for security applications where discreet audio capture is needed.
The handheld models (KLOVER MiK 16 and KLOVER MiK 16 Broadcast) are constructed with our new deeper dish that provides a tighter pickup pattern. The new dish provides a pickup pattern very similar to the KLOVER MiK 09 and the KLOVER MiK 26, making it an excellent long-range parabolic microphone for long-distance recording.
The stationary models (“KLOVER MiK 16 Hard Mount”, “KLOVER MiK 16 Sound Shield”, and the “KLOVER MiK 16 in Enclosure”) are still constructed with our original dish. The original dish provides a slightly wider pickup pattern than the KLOVER MiK 09 and the KLOVER MiK 26. (We can build any model with either dish upon request.)

Optionally, silver components can be replaced with matte black ones for advanced concealment. While called a parabolic microphone, the KLOVER MiK is technically a collector dish that uses its parabolic shape to amplify sounds in front and muffle noises behind. The shape of the dish is crucial for optimal performance. Each KLOVER MiK is manufactured with tolerances of only a few thousandths of an inch. Its thick, ballistics-grade plastics provide reflectivity for sound waves, insulate the microphone from background noise, and prevent any movement within the dish, which would disrupt sound clarity.
