Pair the Telinga PRO-9 MK2 handle with your current +48V Telinga Parabolic Microphone or any of our interchangeable parabolic microphones: Stereo MK3 or the Twin Science MK2 + your choice of Telinga dish for a complete ready to record system (photo nr 4 from left). The PRO-9 MK2 handle can also be purchased as a spare product for your older dish or Telinga microphone.
When recording using a parabolic microphone – you often encounter noise pollution from traffic both in air and on ground. Switching the built in EQ filter ON may help you save or enhance your recording by filtering away low frequencies such as traffic noise or rumble.
The Telinga offers great sound quality in a very reliable package. Once a new microphone model is available you may simply add or replace the new microphone for your current Telinga handle/dish setup, without having to purchase another dish or handle. This way – you can bring one parabolic dish, but still use several different Telinga products.
Easy travelling: use the Telinga V2 Foldable Dish (sold separately) for a very light weight system.
Phantom power +48v (XLR) means no batteries or built in accumulator necessary.

The Rycote Telinga Pro Hi Wind Cover has been designed and manufactured by Rycote in the UK for the Telinga 22″ Parabolic Dish. It is manufactured using a durable Green or Black fleece material which offers up to 35 dB in wind noise reduction.
The Rycote HWC is also very easy to fit in the field by simply sliding it on and securing in place with a drawstring. Photo nr 1&2 (from left) shows colour options (Green or Black). Photo nr 3 shows the Telinga dish (sold separately) with the Green Rycote HWC mounted.
General information regarding Telinga parabolics and wind protection: Turbulence inside a parabolic dish, caused by side winds, can only effectively be reduced by covering the entire opening of a dish. The windshield can also prevent insects from buzzing around inside the dish while recording. When storing your complete setup inside the Telinga Soft Case you may also use it as a good “wrap around” cloth, protecting your dish further.

As no Telinga system is heavier then 1.2 Kg (2.5 Lbs) complete it is very easily carried, no matter how you choose to travel (by foot, bicycle etc.)

The Telinga Stereo MK3 omnidirectional microphone – the latest version of the famous industry standard Telinga Stereo DAT microphone.
Telinga Sweden introduced the first commercially available parabolic microphone in stereo 1986 already, with the concept of recording the focus of the parabolic dish in mono and presenting the ambience in stereo.
The Telinga Stereo MK3 microphone has 8 microphone elements, located in 2 pairs (L/R) separated by a 4,5″ plate. The mono signal from the parabolic dish will affect all the microphones equally while the ambience will be recorded in stereo. This proven and unique Telinga concept gives you a natural recording with very low noise that also withstands very high SPL (Sound Pressure Level). The result is a rich sound with very little distortion for an omni microphone.
Pair the Stereo MK3 microphone with your choice of handle and dish (sold separately) either the PRO-X for Plug-In-Power 3,5 mm minjack or PRO-9 handle +48V XLR for a ready to record system. All our microphones are exclusively designed for the Telinga (V2) foldable dish. You can also use your current Telinga handle, please state model or pin configuration when ordering.
You may easily fold the Telinga V2 Dish and pack your complete Telinga system (handle, microphone, and dish) in the Telinga Soft Case (optional) with some padding in between. The complete assembly of a Telinga system is done within minutes without any complicated instructions.

All competing parabolic microphones have a distinctive bass response dip (500-1000Hz), with accompanying peaks and dips at higher frequencies, causing a tinny sound.
- Both balanced XLR and 3.5mm outputs are on the back panel, and you can even use the outputs simultaneously to connect multiple equipment.
- Built-in, metal 1/4-20 threads in the base of the handle allows solid, reliable, and easy mounting of the Parabolic Microphone to a tripod.
